Hey guys,

A few noob questions here.

1. Can carbon fiber be painted? I purchased CF hood and trunk but one of the body shops today told me I could not paint them.

2. If I want to repaint the car fully into a different color, what kind of price would I be looking at with labor for a descent job? Tha car has a little bit of rust on the rear quarter panels and underneath the front driver side door. Basically everything that could have been replaced on a car, was. It now has new FBS fenders, new front & back bumper covers (conversion to 97-99), as I mentioned CF trunk and hood, new oem spoiler I never had, plus Ionic FBS ground effects kit and Ionic roof spoiler.

The car is 95, originally maroon color, I'm thinking of painting it gunmetal grey.

Any input appreciated.

Is FBS just fiberglass? Where'd you get the FBS Fenders?

Yes, you can paint carbon fiber, They don't know what they're talking about...

Theres a place that does a full repaint for ~$2k... dont remember the name

Depending on how much you care (ie. painting the door jambs, etc.) I would say anywhere from $1500-$4000 for a decent paint job.

1500-4000 is pretty wide of an estimate...
