Getting Ready to Lower Car...Do I Have Everything I Need??

I did a search, and read through the sticky on lowering the car, and I just want to make sure I have everything that I need to lower my car.

My Sprint Springs are in route and should be here by the end of the week. I'm getting ready to order the KYB AGX shocks. As far as tools go, I'm ok because my neighbor owns a body shop and I can use his stuff.

I also read that I need dust boots, front strut spacers, front strut bearings, and rubber seats. Are all these items really necessary? Or is it just if they need to be replaced? I wasn't aware that I needed to buy all these parts to lower my car until I read the sticky.

Since my drop will be 2" (Sprint Springs), should I get camber plates? I will (of course) be getting the car realigned once it is lowered. Are camber plates still necessary?

Basically, I just want to know what I need to lower my car besides the Springs and Shocks.

Thanks!

where are you getting the agx? I think cattman supplies you with the dust boots, not sure if phuong does or doesnt. They might just come on all agx.

the other stuff should either come with the agx, or you take off the mounting part of your current struts.

camber, thats iffy. some ppl with sprints dont bother, some ppl think you needem. havent heard definitely either way, so thats all up to you.

Cattman's boots DO NOT fit the OEM strut mounts. The dust boots pop into the upper strut mounts. You do not get these with the shocks/struts. If you need dust boots, you must get them from Nissan.

Cattman's dust boots are made for Cattmans strut mounts only!

You should buy strut bearings and replace them when you do the job. Get them from Nissan.

2" drops, you may need camber BOLTS. It's not a plate. Do a search on the internet for them. Their cheap, 20 bucks for a set.

Spring isolators are needed also. You can make your own or buy new ones from Nissan. Either way, you should replace them as well so you don't wind up with spring noises.

Do the job right the first time and you wount be pulling your suspension apart again and again.

I paid $50 when I ordered my AGX's from Cattman for dust boots. Everything fit fine.

Ok! So all I need besides the Springs/Shocks are...

-Nissan Dust Boots
-Nissan Strut Bearings
-Spring Isolators
-Camber Bolts (Possibly)

The spring isolators...You are referring to the spiral wrap, right? Also...should I put the spiral wrap on all 4 corners or only the front?

Thanks for everyones help!

Sounds like you got it all. I would do the spiral wrap on all 4 corners. At 2.50 a pack, it's worth it.

The strut bearings and dust boots are only needed on the front right? I just want to make sure I order the right stuff. So, I'll only need 2 front strut bearings and 2 dust boots?? I'm a little confused here!

Lot of questions:

I have Tokicos & H&R sitting in my living room. My boots are destroyed. I need new ones and I don't know what boots will fit and where to find the best price. Also, like they said above....what other parts should I replace? Got any pictures or diagrams? I need this pretty quick since I have to replace my drivers side halfshaft and front brakes pronto and gonna do it allat the same time then an alignment. I'm in the D.C. area. Thanks guys.
