Clutch problem
Clutch problem
I just put a new clutch in and I"m now at 300 miles on it, but it has gotten very spongey and I almost have to push it all the way to the floor to switch gears....
Bled it two days ago and I'm back where i started..
What u guys think i should do next?

hhrrmmm someone beat me to the same question...did a complete bleed, changed out both master and slave cylinder, replaced hydrolic line connecting to the tranny. However my problem is not "sponginess", I only have to engauge the clutch only a few centimeters before it grabs and i mean hard!! if i'm not on the throttle it stals. Stock OEM clutch, and flywheel. CAN someone help me try to find out what the problem is (would make my own post, but i didn't reach my reply to quota for the month) I am literally at my witss end here.
Did you make sure to resurface or replace the flywheel before installing the new clutch disc and pressure plate? Also, did you replace the release (throw-out) bearing or use the same one from the old clutch?
Outside of an improperly surfaced flywheel or bad release bearing, the only other thing that can come to find might be a defective spring on the clutch not allowing proper alignment, which would cause a rough or "low" engagement such as you are experiencing.
Just my $.02 worth here from past experiences. I could be way off on this diagnosis, but it's worth a shot to look into.
