i have a 99 mx gxe and i just changed my fuel filter ,the 1st thing i did on my car bymyself. So, final outcome is my car is now idling jerky and engine light came on. diagnosed it and came back with 6cylinder misfiring and knock sensor went bad. ok i know 1st time i ran the codes is after changing the filter maybe the knock sensor was bad already, but the jerky stuff just started now what gives help...

 

Did you install the fuel filter in the right direction? Arrow point up?

 

tuneup time? was the filter extra dirty? a clean flowing filter could now flood a cylinder with a bad plug in it. Redline gas treatment? increased fuel pressure could have knocked loose a deposit.
