I drive a '98 Maxima SE, and noticed that I have no ABS. I looked at a few places online, and some said that it was standard, and others said that it was an option. My Haynes book says it's supposed to be a standard option for '98.

Can anyone confirm whether this was a standard feature or not?

It's not standard on 4th gens.

 

on my 1997 gle its standard, no idea abt GXE or SE.

 

I have it on my 96, but the only time I know its there is when my car is stuck in snow and I just spin the tires till the needle is above 140. After a while the ABS light comes on and goes off a few hours later...ahh winter, soo much fun

ABS was an option on 97 GLE - also was part of the winter package. Came together with heated seats/mirrors.

 

ABS was an option across the model line for all 4th gens. Starting with 5th gens, ABS was standard.

I know its not standard on SE and GXE but for some reason i thought it was standard on all GLE's mines has it correct me if i'm wrong
