hey while this thread is up, about how much miles should we be getting for a full tank of gas on a daily driver status, not always city but not all highway. i get like 190 miles... and i dont think thats good. my code says the knock censor is not working either but i was told it wasnt that big of deal. as im reading this thread im starting get worried... so can some one tell me if my miles per tank is within range of average?

hey elgordito, I dont know about you but I have a 5 speed and I'm having a similar problem with my knock sensor and I think I read somewhere on here that once the knock sensor code comes up it can reset your ECU to run in a "safe" mode which seems to use a ton of fuel. When I kept the light on for a full tank I got about 220 miles and when I keep resetting the ecu it seems to run fine and I get a little over 300 miles per tank

on a straight highway burn i can get close to 450.
yea youre knock sensor causes poor gas mileage because it retards ignition timing - so the normal driver compensates by opening up the throttle more. 190 for a tank in the city is horrible.
you should just spend the 120 bux to get a new knock sensor. it will have paid for itself in 6 months.
