fuel door plastic broken

Ok so I was shutting my fuel door...and there's this little white piece that's like hooked up to a spring? Like when I pull the lever inside, it pulls on this white piece and it snaps open the fuel door so I can pump gas...you guys know what I'm talking about right? Well the little white piece that goes in and out (looks like its hooked up to a spring) broke off a bit...so I'm trying to superglue it (the tip of it broke off, but enough so that the door won't stay shut cause this white piece isn't holding it shut...if that makes sense)

If the superglue doesn't work, where can I get this piece? What is it called? Also as for appearance...its this white plastic piece that goes in and out...and its attached to this rubber square piece that looks like it can be removed (so it seems I might be able to fix this on my own if I can get the part)

Anyone help?

I'm thinking about going to the dealership. I'm surprised this problem hasn't occurred very often on this forum lol
