I'm pretty sure the wheel bearing is going (not a sticking caliper or worn out brake pads).

What's the worse case scenario?

Wassup nick, the hub will go bad if you dont replace the wheel bearing asap, I got my OEM bearing from rockauto.com(it is the one with the nissan partnumber on it) works perfectly. Cost me about 75 bucks to get it changed and 4x for the bearing. But the longer you drive on it, it is going to where out the hub so then you will have to replace that.

You will get a horrible shake when you drive not to mention a annoying grinding noise.
I drove on mine for a couple months(I don't recomend you do that). I replaced the bearing first and after driving 150 miles or so I got the grinding noise again. I ended up replacing the bearing and hub and it drives like new. If you've been driving on it for more than a month I would get both replaced will cost about $180 in parts. I think you can only get the hub from the dealer.

Let me put it in fairly simple terms for you:
Driving with a bad wheel bearing for a while can quite possibly result in death.

Maybe it's not the bearing. It's a hum/vibrating sound like comes from the front right. The sound goes away when you tap the brakes or turn the wheel. It takes about 10-15 of driving before the sounds starts. The sound is also not apparent when i have cargo in the front right seat. Not sure what else it could be. The car has 210,000 miles on it.

Does the sound get louder at higher speeds?

No, the sound is at it loudest in cabin betweek 20-40 mph, and you can't hear it in the cabin at any higher speeds.

it very well could be the beginning of the wheel bearing going bad. this happened to me and i waited like 2k miles then changed it myself. not hard. cost $75 for the bearing and $30 for it to get pushed. but your wheel could fall off if it grinds for too long, but liek 10k mile too long. hust get it done, plus it improves ride comfort.
