150k miles and my suspension is starting get worn, what should I replace?
Hey everyone, my car's starting to get up there in miles and recently, I'm just not satisfied with the suspension characteristics.. When I take my company Impala out, it feels much more planted and this is not acceptable. I only plan on keeping my vehicle for another year max so I'd like to go for the most economic decision.
Symptoms:
-Vehicle exhibits a fair amount of body sway while cornering (off/on ramps)
-Loose feeling around bends on the highway
My suspension mods:
-Progress RSB installed at 60k miles
-eBay FSTB
If I press down on a corner of the vehicle and make it oscillate, the motion stops quickly, which leads me to believe the shocks are still in decent condition. Does this mean my springs are worn? After reading some posts it appears it should be my shocks that are worn, so I had thought about purchasing Tokico blues. Does anybody know if I should replace the strut mounts and boots as well if this is the case?
Thanks in advance guys.

I doubt it, the car used to handle and feel great and not so much anymore. Might I add, I also drove the **** out of this thing in it's younger days. I also think that a lighter, smaller car should handle better then an 06 Impala. The Impala seems to do a better job isolating bumps on the road where as I can feel everything on my i30 w/ the stock tires at 30psi.

I can almost guarantee that your boots will be shot, so add those to the list. Check the suspension sticky for a decent amount of information RE: part numbers, etc: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=384928
My passenger side strut mount also needed to be replaced, so I replaced all 4 mounts and bearings. At 150k, I would check your swaybar endlinks, tie rods and LCA/Ball joints. Tokico blues are great if you want to keep an OEM-like ride.
