Ebay bbk (Wilwood)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BIG-B...em120244278683

I have been looking at this item on my favorite place. Now does any one here other than chernmax have a setup close to this and if so do they like it? Any feedback let me know.

Ptatohed has those Wilwood calipers, but different rotors. He bought his BBK from fastbrakes.com. Ptatohed claims he feels no difference in braking. A few other orgers have these Wilwood calipers as well ie Chunger.

If those are genuine Wilwood rotors, that's a great deal IMO.

So your saying they didn't gain any braking nor notice less fade?

do you really need cross and drilled rotors?
why don't you just get the 300zx BBK?

Not "they"..... him. Ptatohed didn't feel his braking was any better. Can't speak for the others. As for fade, couldn't tell ya. He's never gotten on them repeatedly yet.

Squeak squeak squeak.....

It seems like half the people on here have issues with the 300zx BBK.

Besides, after it's all said and done, this Wilwood kit will cost virtually the same as the 300zx BBK, but everything will be new. The Wilwoods are also the lightest calipers out there for the Maxima. Seems like a no brainer IMO.

hmm i didn't know that. i just generally thought the 300zx bbk were good b/c so many people got them but wasn't aware of that noise issue.

i mean yeh, $750 seems like a bargain price, go for it.

Mine never made noise and no one that I've read about has complained.
The noise would be a function of the calipers themselves and not the kit. Probably a case of someone not using the shims, not putting the brake quiet on the shims or not cleaning/lubing the slide pins.
