VIP wheels...?

20x8.5's up front... 20x9.5's out back.

+35/+40 offsets.

Coilovers will be here early next week.

In the meantime, I updated the front end with new headlights, and grill inserts. OEM orange bumper lights will be going back on.

And the car goes into the bodyshop to get the fenders pulled/modified, and a fresh coat of paint!

Finished product late-April, I hope.

No 19's available in the HR3's, or I would have.

you got a side pic of your car with the current rims. i cant see them that well but they dont look to bad.

im not a big fan of putting 20"s on max. but then again im more perfomance than looks. but i do like your headlights and grill. looks real clean man. i wish i could get mine to look like that

but yeah man post some before and after pics for sure man

The maxima about 6 months ago. Since this pic, the SP2 has been installed, as well as OBX headers/ypipe. I was saving up for a major change all at once, instead of dripping little by little.

OEM headlights that I AE'd. They didn't look bad at all, but I wanted that 'clear' look to the corners, and just bought the entire set.

ilike them... in fact i was considering swapping out my hr2 for a set but they don't come in the size i want. i woudn't really call them a vip wheel either, unless they were on a well done vip car.

get them installed on your car and then take pics

but yeah, imo 20's on a 4th gen is a little too big.. 19's at most..
but yeah, as BlackonBlack98 said, it's not the wheels that make it VIP, it's the whole package ( drop, rims, trims, etc...)..

are the rims polished or silver?

as for 20s being to big... our wheel wells are huge. if the stance is right you can definitely pull off 20s. get some stretched rubber bands and drop the heck out of it.

*edit - for those that don't know, this is the style he is shooting for (i assume):

Diamond cut.. nice.. I love that look..
as for the pic you posted, those look good ( since it has a proper offset which will allow the "concaveness" look..
but the pics he posted of the rims he bought, they look flat with no concaveness which will give a different look..

I say, just a pic of the rims alone don't do justice... put them on the car with drop and them ask for opinions

wow how'd i miss this thread!
heres my take: the offsets are too high. I'm sorry but FAIL. lol If you can, return or resell these and get 19x9 +25 an 19x10 +25. These sizes are gonna sit hella flush of course with stretched tires 225 or 235 front, 245 or 255 rear. IMO 20's are too big for a Maxima. BUT we will have to see how it looks ON the car. so slap those bishes on and slam that car. I'd get a lip kit while you're at it too. It just won't look right without some aesthetics. And on Pebble Beige color ??? .... eeehh like I said before, lets see how it look on the car. I hope it's what you like! phew!

For old times sake:

these don't come in lower offsets (38mm is the lowest i believe and probably what these reallly are). i dont see any point in poking on a solid rear beam, but its just a matter of taste. i think these will fit well.

for tires i was thinking more like 215f/235r (thats what i plan on running).

lip kits are for people who aren't low enough.

pebble beige is hopeless on the vip style tip.

i used to be all about stripped all out performance cars but now VIP look is the new thing. I say drop that bish to the ground, take the tints off, get a new body color.

I just saw these on a jetta wagon and it pulled them off. Im curious to see what they will look like on a maxima. The question is will the beige allow them to flow. Because all the cars I saw that had these were dark colored cars.

I'm not even a VIP fan, but they don't look half bad on that Infiniti. Perhaps a touch of lip and/or a staggered setup might make the hoe look hotter.

The beige color of Ur car will kill the VIP look, but im still interested on how it will turnout, Im trying to do VIP as well but im still seeing whats out there, IMO I think EXE KonKaves would have worked better(I believe someone has them on a 6th gen)

those wheels get clowned in the vip world, (so do a32s though). the only reason hr2/hr3 are somewhat accepted is because they are actually made in japan by a vip wheel company, and even then a lot of people hate on them because they are monoblocks.

heres some vip a32 images since we're on the topic. they are from poorer asian countries were the high end models are not available:
