Maxima of a completely different style. Discuss.
...maximas shouldn't be "VIP"ed. It's just pointless and a waste of money. The maxima in the first post is clean but it's just straight up unattractive. It's one of those cars that I laugh at when I see on the streets because of how ridiculous and pointless it is. If you have the money to VIP a car then don't be silly and do it to a maxima. Buy yourself a nice lexus or an audi and pimp THAT car out instead and I'll promise you that it'll look very nice.
Well that's MY opinion and I hope I got that part across that MY opinion is more logical than most of the people supporting this idea to VIP a maxima
. lol they shouldn't even be used in the same sentence.

. lol they shouldn't even be used in the same sentence.as for the vip thing, i somewhat agree. not in the fact that an a32 doesn't look good when vip inspired (need some pics to prove it? i got plenty) but in the fact that most ppl spitting out vip and maxima in the same sentence have no idea what vip really is (this means you too) and that a32s can never be true vip.
define VIP then
other platforms that have been accepted as vip by some are the nissan fuga (current infiniti m), mazda sentia (929), ka9 legend (rl), and high end euro sedans.
modifications are focused on extremely lowered suspensions (air or coilovers) and aggresive wheels (wide and low offset) with focus on fitment. interiors are frequently modified in a luxurious matter, but thats not a must. exterior is similar, while body kits are usually bulky but focus on clean lines.
now i, being fairly new school in the vip scene, champion that it is an evolving style and various platforms are being used, from kei cars to boxes (xb) to vans to style wagons and is now crossing over into a lot of different non-jdm econo/mid range models. a lot of traditional vip enthusiasts disagree.
i'm not against calling a car vip inspired but not every car with big rims and a drop is vip.

I thought VIP was like where you had little pillows all over the place and you could put on your slippers and your bathrobe with your embroidered signature on them and get escorted around town
yeah you did sell it fast! i was surprised.
I stay truuue to the maxima, so yes I have it. (have a truck too though)

true vip is confined to a select few platforms, most of which never made it stateside. all are high end, v8 (in their native form), rwd, japanese sedans. nissan cima, cedric, gloria, president (infiniti q & m). toyota century, celsior, aristo, crown, majesta (lexus gs and ls).

yeah... funny thing is i play the other side on vsc. i dont have a pronlem with "vip style" but its getting thrown around way to loosely over here lately.
Um, that doesn't even have tint. Murdered out is more blk/blk/blk with tinted tails and dark azz headlights. Clear windows with a tan tweed interior is not exactly (or anywhere near) fitting the bill.
Ragtop, rims, grill, flat paint = lame.
Shaved handles, body kit, black-outs, lowered = rad.
Tan/brown interior = barf.
Why he shaved the handles but not the door guards = huh?

hahah the fact that ppl do this to a sports sedan makes me lawlz... I mean i love the max but come on... 22's and a racing wheel? That is ridiculous...
I give the dude an A+ for the effort though, i mean he cut his roof out for cryingout loud... but the whole rag thing is stupid... I rather make it like a moonroof and have the window go all the way back like Celica GTS's

Maybe I shouldn't be driving a maxima....what the hell, mine was free. I think this car look like crap. But I'm a DSM guy at heart so what do I know. I mean flat paint, shaved, 22's, grill, ridiculous mirrors, etc etc etc etc etc. are all cliche mods thrown together to make a horrible end product....good enough for a cheesy rap video. The lines of a 4th gen are just not there for this type of styling.

the door moldings are kind of their own body line. without them, that is a big blank panel with nothing breaking it up.
I just hope the people that do hate this, can tell the difference between this car and every buick you see with big wheels and fender holes.

word... the doors that were on my car when i put it into storage had both shaved, but i was into something different back then (along the lines of this car). now i am replacing the door and shaving only the handles. imo you can do one or the other , not both. its just to plain and bubbly with nothing on the doors.

I actually like tha Matte black paint. I'm not a fan of big rims on a Maxima but these look very very good on it. I actually like the interior too besides the monitor on the passenger side, I rather have it as the head unit. and minus the mirrors I think it comes together pretty well, I like how it's Murdered out.
