waxing the max

I have a black 97 max, the paint is really good on it. There is a lot of swirl marks on it though, i was looking for a swirl remover and polish (preferably a liquid wax.) Something that i could get at pep boys or auto zone. Bring out the shine and get rid of the swirl marks. Any suggestions thanks.

simple steps really that do take a fair amount of time. Detailing is something that is a direct reflection of the time you put it.

Zymol is the correct spelling.

Here's what I use:

1) wash the car using a synthetic wash mit and a good car wash soap. Stay the hell away from dishsoap as it will strip any and all wax off your car no matter the brand.
2) use a liquid cut product. I use a meguires paint cleaner. Basically it will remove any oxidization and make the paint smoother so that it is more ready to accept the polish.
3) Use a liquid polish producy. Again, I stick with meguires to make things simple
4) apply a synthetic sealant again, this is the same product that many detailing shops around my area use and charge upward of 350 to apply this stuff. It is truly a once a year application with maybe a light coat of wax in the early fall to help protect from road salt.

Use a microfibre towel to remove the product and use their sponge applicators to apply this stuff. If you want to go all out, you can purchase the mikata 9227C and that will make application way easier and less time consuming, but those above steps should only really be done once a year with the exception of the washing. Weekly for that one.
Those steps will or at least should remove most of your swirl marks. If you have deeper scratches that are to the primer coat, you will need to think about touch up paint.

any other questions feel free or ask in the detailing forum.
cheers.

I love Klasse personally. First wash and dry. They clay bar the entire car. Then a coat of SSR2.5 for the swirls. Then Klasse All in one, followed by a coat of Klasse Sealent Glaze. Polish it all off and let it sit over night. 24 hours past, another coat of Sealant glaze and then a top coat of your choice for the Carnuba Wax to protect it all. I use P21S on the top, makes the paint look wet. After all that, your left with an amazing looking car !!!

Do what I do with both cars. Keep waxing it every other day or so. When I get bored I go out into my garage and start waxing away.

rofl sounds sad but sometimes I can't sleep and I seriously like waxing. Once you get the whole car done it becomes easier.

I use whatever liquid wax I can find at walmart and have some clay bar left over that I ordered online for $40 or something. I think my car gets shinier and shinier every week.
Persistence is the key my friend. All your swirls and doowahs will be gone in no time if you wax wax wax!

I have some of that NXT 2.0 stuff waiting to be used. I stocked up on all these goodies all winter. Got claybar, scratch-x, polishers, waxes, car wash soaps, micro fibers...the works. Yesterday, I did my fist quick driveway wash of the season and noticed the FSTB that I installed 2 weeks ago left a nice bumpy ridge across my whole hood. D'oh!! Oh, well, live n learn. Cant wait to do a full detail, though. I love this season!!! (Minus the pollen thats all over your car an hour after you finish.)

Hahaha I know. Called you on it.
I should start a waxing business of my own.
Drop the car off for one week. Come back and you will be in wow. They'll probably pay me for a new paintjob because that's what it'll look like once I'm done with it.

I've actually made that trip 4 times.....twice in the maxima; once on I-10, and the other on I-80. The other 2 times was in moving vans....that was fun
