No CEL light, but checked anyway and got P0500, Vehicle speed sensor malfunction( my speedometer works), Is there any negative effect with driving like this still? I looked in the Haynes and said it can affect driveability, and tranny shifts, etc.

Was it a pending code or a set code?

Does it drive fine?

Shifts sometimes feel a little off(oh its automatic), like I have to give it a little more gas too. My mileage went down a little also(dont know if thats related). COme to think of it I totally forgot to check if it was pending or set, and i already erased it... If my memory serves me right I think Pending. All the I/M monitors ran too the only one that flashed was the EV, Evaporative system monitor.

Don't have a speed limiter on mine. I just noticed it two days ago, just decided to plug it in even though there was no CEL.
