E-Brake Light Wiring...

I was in my center console and I did sumthin to the wire on the ebrake. I tried to reassemble it but i'm not sure where it goes. I think it was sitting between the metal slide thing attached to spring. The ebrake works, just no lights and i'm pretty sure this goes there, but can't get it back on. Anysuggestions? I'll post pics once i'm off work...

try getting hold of a haynes manual and get everything back together correctly.
