car idles then shuts off

so today i was going for a drive, i turned the car on i put it in drive, then when i went to press the gas the car studerd and then it shut off. so i tried it agin and shure enough it did it again. so i poped the hood and tried it again the car turned on then the engine staretd to shake and it shut off. im not sure if this is the spark plugs the coils or what. any thoughts.

Highly doubt it's either of those things.

IACV, maf, and evap valve are some of the many possibilities. Popping the hood didn't help though? Hummm. In that case I'd go ahead and scan the codes.

Check engine light on? This will point you in the right direction.

Are there any codes.? Im guessing its either the maf or coils. Could be both maybe. But thats what happens when the maf is unplugged or just not working.

im talking about the start blocking....im not sure what its called in english, but you know you reset it by enter the key and twist it 2 clicks to start mode and waith 5 secs and twist it back and remove the key, then the car should start, but for saftey you need to get a nissan dealer to enter a new code...

the MAF is the "cylinder" piece after ur air filter box. its like $450 at dealer ship, $200 or so at autozone and if u can pick up a used one the better. you can always buy it at autozone test if its it and if its not just return it
