Motor Mounts
Motor Mounts
My rear motor mount has been bad for sometime now and I am unsure of which ones to replace it with. I know i can go OEM or Polyurethane.
DO i have any other choices besides the 2?
And do the Polyurethane ones make the car shake when its idling?
I do drive the car hard most of the time, and my car is slammed on coilovers.
Which mounts would you guys/girls recommend ? And would I be better off changing all at the same time or just one?
ThankS

Poly mounts are awesome, one of the best mods you can do! I suggest to get the mounts, control arms, sway bar, cross member, bushings!!! Call Energy Suspension Performance to get all the Polyurethane bushings, they don't make the car vibrate any more than it already does, they also increase reliability, handling, +whp! They reduce wheel hop and reduce the likelyhood of breaking stuff! the control arm bushings are great they make turning feel amazing and the ride ultra smooth(less bounce)! Its really worth it, you can get the rear ones as well if you want to go all out!
Be wary of the poly mounts espically for the engine mounts. Yes, they do transfer power RIGHT NOW since there is no (or very little) flexing in them. Yes, no torque is lost due to the engine rotating on the mounts. You probably can corner faster and get on the gas a little sooner in the corner to help get you out of there.
I also have sway bar bushing, and endlink bushing and let me tell you with that combination, those were more noticable than when I installed my FSTB.
What I don't like is pretty simple and I'm sure it's an easy fix, but I'm just too busy right now to try and Mcgyver it.... the hood rattles like a **** at idle. Also, 600rpms the steering wheel shakes/vibrates in my hand. You can see it vibrating if you take your hands off the wheel.
A minor thing, but something that should be noted.

Thats what i was thinking. I DO NOT want any vibration and from what i read thats what the poly mounts give.
-Are there any other mounts that perform like the poly ones but dont vibrate
the steering wheel and what not?
I would'nt mind the vibration but girls already complain how rough my car rides because of my coilovers i dont want to give them another reason to complain lol
