I Broke My AC/Alternator Belt Tensioner

I snapped the belt tensioner bolt.

Went to the dealer and bought a replacement tensioner assembly.

However, what I got was the pulley, the tensioning bolt and the tensioner nut (the big long nut).

I did not get the bracket... just the pulley, bolt and nut.

Is there a how-to somewhere or has someone replaced these parts? I searched found nothing.

Is it a pretty straight forward replacement?

its pretty straight forward, there are 3 little bolts holding the bracket onto the engine, a bit of a gripe to get at, but not hard at all.... than with a few more bolts on the bracket, the pulley and everything else should just pop right off, i replaced mine a few months back when i was still in the states, took about 20 min

as long as you have a few wrenches and sockets, it should'nt be hard at all...

+1
Had mine snap on me. Got the same parts from the dealer and did it myself just as Mr.Duck explained. Good luck.

Duck and Nupe,

Thanks for the replies... super-simple. Took about 20 minutes.

hot_wax,

I found you're response to be especially helpful. Thanks for taking the time to post.
