Couple question on the MEVI install

Couple question on the MEVI install

This manifold was bought from someone on the forums.. and it comes with a summit racing black box.

Well i was woundering where i get power from when i connect RPM switch.



Where do i connect this? It says, Normally open something something, i have to look at that..




another question, could i just run with the butterflies open?

What are you trying to power? The rpm switch or the solenoid?

Looks like a Summit Switch to me

If so, search : Summit RPM

For the Summit RPM switch:

Yellow Wire to VSS switch
White Wire to RPM signal (ECU or TAM screw)
Red is 12 volt PWR
Black is GND
Grey is not used

You could, but its going to kill you performance below the 5k area.

Blue Box? Not sure what your refering to. Post pics of what all you have.
VSS is the Vaccum Solenoid Switch.

ALright well i installed it all, and the red light on the summit black box stays on...any idea?

The red LED indicates that the unit is on.
The green LED inside the unit turns on when at or above the desired RPM you chose....

Nah i havent read the instruction, i bought it used so it didnt come with any. Thanks for the link

Once it activates, it stays on untill you fall below the set RPM mark.
To set the activation point you have to adjust the DIP switches and you can fine tune with the little dial.

I switched the little ***** upward on 5-000 is that a good?


Is their a way to reset my tps? My rpms sometimes stay at 2k

Assuming you have a decent multimeter, you can check your TPS.
