Jumpy tachometer - anyone fix this before?

So all of a sudden my tachometer is very jumpy. It randomly starts jumping all around and will read 4000+ while I am at idle. The engine appears to be running fine and I am not getting any codes. I know I can replace the entire gauge cluster but has anyone replaced just the tachometer? Can it be done???

Yes you can replace all the gauges separately.

each gauge is separate and you may just have a loose connection or just the gauge needs to be replaced.
