Hard Starting / Pulley problems..
Hard Starting / Pulley problems..
It started today, alternator belt came off due to tensioner seizing up, when the alternator belt came off, it jumped the power steering belt off as well. So replaced the tensioner, put two new belts on it, started the car up and the crank pulley is loose, hard to explain. Its tight on the crank, but the pulley has a rubberness to it and has play on the power steering side. It keeps throwing the power steering belt sideways. Has anyone had any similar problems with their crank pulley? Also since this happened the car will turn over about 6 times before it will start, typically it starts right up on first turn. I'm thinking maybe the belt had hit the crank position sensor on the bottom?? Currently I've got just the alternator/ac belt on and car is hard to start and pulley is fine for that belt, just not for the power steering.
Thanks for any input!

There have been several reported incidents of the crank pulley coming apart, the outer section actually seperating from the rubber insulator. Replace the crank pulley, and go from there.
