i was driving on the highway today following my friend and we started racing each other he has a acura tl 97 i have a max 96.anyway i had this check engine light on my car for the evap canister i changed everything except the valve in feburary but still had the check engine light on. and today my check engine light went away. i even left the igintion on to see if my check engine lights up and it does. this ever happen to any of u guys could it be me racing on the highway fixed it. let me know what u guys think

A. you should never mention illegal street racing on here.
B. Check engine lights sometimes do weird stuff like that...wait a few days and see if it comes back on.

very bad idea to mention racing on the org, alot of the guys are really **** about that stuff. but hey, about your check engine light, i think its just a weird malfunction that will probably just stop happening in a couple days. check if your filter is tight on your intake, (if you have an aftermarket intake). Becuase mine was loose/almost off, and the check engine kept turning on/off randomly.

It my just be too late......Check engine lights do crap all the time.Try the gas cap.Have you ran the codes to see if its the same as before or different.?

You'd probably get a careless or reckless driving ticket if you just started accelerating like a madman all over town

I asked my dad who's a cop, and he said he'd deffinatly pull someone over and tell them to knock it off even if he didn't get lucky enough to get a ticket on them
