Indiglo needles... disaster...
i tried installing it.
gas thing is ****ed
temp is ****ed
speedo is a lil ****ed
the "needles" are ORANGE
yes the whole thing is orange
and when i connected to the car's dimmer thing, it worked
but then when i put it on high, i cant see the light
the blue light doesnt even reflect over the needle
when i put it on a medium you can see it a little
...
damn it... i think i have to send this whole thing to importintelligence...

Ok...
Did you turn up the Needles all the way with it's dimmer switch?
(I understand that you connected it to the Dashboard switch)-but what
I don't think your problem is your instalation. I think it's your needles.
I connected mine to cigarette lighter.. since its a ignition power source.
Do you see the color glowing out of under your needles?--around the spindle? is it the correct color?

So did you turn up the dimmer for the needles?

Hmmmm, I think that its just down to your needles then. I know there are some clear needles at a junk yard somewhere up here. I saw 96-97 I30 on its roof last night. So I think you're going to just have to order some... sorry.

I can't see mine during the day, unless I'm in a shadow or something. So depending on your tint...you may or may not be able to see them.

sexima, did you read my post man?? the import intell. needles are a tricky install. if you need a new cluster i suggest getting a used one from a junkyard, not the dealer. i got my from a guy in seattle, WA for ~ $110. make sure you ask for the analog gauge cluster for the maxima SE (do you have an SE?) you won't have to sand the needles or anything.
if you have solid orange needles with your current dash kit, then i'm not sure that sanding will help. i thought the import. intell. website mentioned that the kit was not designed for the orange needles.

awwwww
good luck sexima! In a couple posts, people (i think it was you J_bryan) warned against fiddlin with the gauge and it's needles.
Go ahead and send it off, you've ran into too many problems over the past couple weeks for any Maxima driver! good luck!

Well first off... they really aren't indiglo, so wicked can retract his statement.
My needles work awesome, they are a tricky instal. But they were easy, all you have to do is read the instructions and follow them. Oh well, if you get rid of them, I'll understand. As long as you check the clearance and calibration of the needles you'll be fine.
I guess my needles are the only ones that look nice. I don't have to do anything to my dimmer. They are always are bright.

Dang guy, sorry to hear about your bad news. When I went to install my indiglo needles and white face gauges, I MADE SURE to take my time because I didn't want to mess up the gauges. It took me 2 hours for the whole thing because I went to slow to make sure I did not mess up. And wow, actually everything worked out. But I do wish you luck, take it easy.
