dash paint help

ok so i was reading the sticky on painting the dash and went to autozone to buy the supplies wen i came across the dupli color vinyl and fabric paint. Now the sticky said he used the wheel paint so i bought both.
Anyone kno which one is better out of the two?

Dupli-color high performance wheel coating (light grey ish)

Dupli-color vinyl and fabric coating (medium grey ish)

Also tips on painting?? whats better hung up or on piece of cardboard??

Thnx -JC

I've had experience with the vinyl paint to touch up a section of my dash. It still holds it's color and I'd use it again. Just my .02.

That's what I would recommend too. I used it for my 96 and it's holding up very well.

i should add that sem is a specialty company and will yield superior results to stuff like krylon and duplicolor. i have colored almost every piece of plastic in my car as well as the dash. this stuff is easy to work with and very forgiving. prep is the most important step.
