Radiator? Which one is best (several listed)

Friends & Countrymen....I need some assistance/clarification.

Just came from the shop and was told I have a leak in my radiator. After 285K miles what can one expect

I noticed the group deal for the KOYO at $150, but when I look on-line I see the same part for $126.85 (shipped) from a place called go-part.com. Also, I see what they are calling an OEM replacement for $81.95 or $96.06 shipped.

I have searched the threads here and read about aluminum and 2 rows versus 1 row, and was looking for advice on what is the best one to buy. Only looking for regular driving. No racing, towing, etc. I will be replacing the hoses as well, so any suggestions on that. I have listed below what I have found and any input would be helpful: (I am nto affiliated with any of the sites below, just googled it)

Stick with Koyo. I've had very good dealings with them.
Shoot me your Zip code and I'll see how much shipping is to you.

Different Quality in the materials used.
The stock radiator is plastic and aluminum. which allows it to be lightweight and reasonably cost effective to produce.

Is Koyo just for high performance or for all uses? Looking for something to last a few more years. Also, why are there two different part numbers for the KOYO?

Because the W# is used by the companies that are drop shipping from a specific company. It is not an actual part #. the A1752 is the actual part # as assigned by koyo.

I am going to go with the Koyo from Go-Parts. One question though... the part they list says A/T... My Max is manual... is there a difference that anyone knows of?

Thanks!

You can use an auto radiator on a manual without a problem, it's the other way around that you have to start changing things up. The only difference is the trans cooler built in to the radiator for the autos.

pmohr got to it before me

I want to say the difference is ports for the internal tranny fluid cooler which could easily just be not used and capped off as I think thats what they do in most cases anyway.

I'm also curious of the longevity of the all aluminum performance radiators. I cant see any reason why it wouldnt last as long as the OEM replacements but....who knows.

Thanks For The Info!

Awesome... I really appreciate your replies! Good to know... I wasnt sure if the coolant system was one integrated piece and was concerned about the extra ports... I was thinking the coolant would just come out of those. I will have to find something good to cap them off. I wonder if the auto parts store would have something for this.

I was surprised that the hoses actually outlasted the radiator! After I fix this, I need to have the clutch replaced because it is slipping real bad. I think I will take it somewhere for that!

No need to cap them off; the trans cooler is sealed off from the radiator itself internally.
