Rotors
Rotors
so my maxi juss hit 130k miles and im thinkin its finally time to replace the stock suspension and brakes... ive been lookin around for cross-drilled/slotted rotors and found these generic brand rotors on ebay...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissa...spagenameZWDVW
would these be any good or am i wasting my time considering these?? my other option is the powerstop brand...

i would get brembo ones but my budget is kinda tight right now... im tryin not to go over $250 for all four... i still have to buy calipers as well as shocks & springs...

If you have it narrowed down to those two, I would go with the powerstop brand. I do not recommend cross drilled rotors. There was an article posted on here a while back as to why they are not a good idea, but basically the cross drilled holes reduce the total amount of material capable of absorbing heat as well as crack easilly around the holes with high heat and stress.
The only advantage of cross drilling is 1.) to reduce unsprung weight 2.) help clear the rotor surface of dust water and debris, for example they are good in rally cars.

YES. blanks give you the best stopping power and they will last you the longest. i cant tell you how many times ive heard stories of drilled/slotted rotors cracking after 1 1/2 - 2 years. i too am getting new Rotors and i think im going Brembo.
Proper cross drilled rotors aren't even drilled. They are cast with the holes. This greatly reduces the possibility of cracking. Only some serious overheating and extreme rapid cooling will crack them. Not to mention on our cars, you can run just fine with the hairline cracks you might get with them anyway. Your rotors wont shatter like they would on a car doing 180-60 in 4 seconds...
The surface area arguement is kinda bad too...youre gaining like 3% or something...so small that just braking technique can be better compensation...
Still, blanks are your best option for a daily driven maxima. Much cheaper and perform just as well.
