Shifter trim shape

Is the shifter trim different in between an automatic and a manual? I need to know if the shape is different... I know they are close... Thanks!

LOL, he thinks he is on Face Book.
What i dont understand is that he says his family has had three Maxima and even if they were all autos he should know by now that the open area for a 5 speed is going to be wider then that of an auto that just goes up and down.

The auto trim has a narrower opening and nothing in place to hold the metal ring that goes on the bottom of the manual shift boot.
