EU 2-step question...
EU 2-step question...
i FINALLY got the EU in after almost 9 months of it sitting in my dresser. cant tune anything really, no wideband or dyno time. Its frustrating, lol, i now have it in but cant do anything really. I have advanced timing a tiny bit which was recommended to me by 95blkmax, so i trust him. Got the 2-step feature all set up cuz i figure thats the only thing i can really take advantage of now. its neat and all. it now backfires like whoa (especially after the timing adv.), even throws a flame
my question is regarding the 2 -step and the VSS pulse. i kinda understand how it works ,basically sets a temporary limit until i reach the certain pulse number. but what exactly is the vss pulse? i need to understand that a little better that way i can set it to the proper number of pulses? i understand it will vary on driver preference, tirespin, power, etc. so i know i need to try out different numbers, but i just need basic understanding. so pretty much : 1 VSS pulse=x?? solve for x

right, i know what vss is, but how is 1 pulse different from 8 pulses? what exactly is the pulse? is it relative to rpm? wheel rotation? something completely different?
If you want the 2 step to release quickly then the lower the number the quicker the response. I don't know why anyone would want it delayed, however different strokes. As soon as there is any forward movement would be a good time to release it.
If you want to read all about the VSS its in the FSM which is available free from numerous sources.
