My a/c heater switch is malfunctionin!! It doesn't turn on until level 4 (it's the manual one)!
Now I was on ebay and saw this up for sale...

The reason your fan isn't working correctly is because your resistor block is fried. You can find it under the glove box, it's mounted on the vent pipe just after the fan motor. It has a plug on it with several wires coming from it. You can pick this part up at your local Nissan dealer for about 25 bucks.

Regarding the ebay item. You CANNOT plug that unit into a car that does not have factory auto climate control. There are several sensors throughout the car which are needed to make this unit work correctly. Sun sensor, outside temp, air intake temp, cabin temp. ect.. Also a few other goodies such as the electric motors which control the vents are needed to operate this system as well. Your car does not have any of this.

It's very costly to convert your manual climate control system to automatic.
