Anybody installed B&G/KYB AGX combo yet?
I have B&G's ready to install but I have not picked struts yet.
Wanted to know if anybody has tried them with AGX's. Can't decide between AGXs and GR-2s. Do I really need the adjustability? Will the GR-2s handle the 1.6 drop? 18s already ride rough, don't need the ride much rougher.

I did an install of AGX's on H&R's a few weeks back for a fellow org member. H&R said to be the softest spring, let me tell you the car rode hard as a rock. Not my style at all. I'm running H&R's on stock struts now. Pretty smooth ride, a little harsh on some big bumps. I just ordered the AGX's, should have them by Friday. I'm putting the OEM springs back in over the weekend with the AGX struts. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get one hell of a smooth firm ride with that setup.

I, too, have B&G's waiting to be installed. Right now my present set up is stock SE springs with Tokicos with 16" rims and H-rated, touring tires. I wanted to improve handling with sacraficing ride quality. So I bought the B&G's. I've also debated which KYB's to get -- GR-2's or AGX's? I opted for the GR-2's because I didn't want too firm a strut and didn't need the external adjustability. Apparently, the GR-2's are slightly firmer than the Tokico's and may possibly be more durable over time.
Even after buying the B&G springs, I'm still debating in my head whether to install them. I'm a little uncertain about whether they'll cause a discernable decrease in ride quality because they are lowering springs. I'm waiting to hear how NJMAXSELTD (above post) likes his ride with stock/AGX before I decide whether to install the B&G's, sell them on Max.org, keep the GR-2's or return them for the AGX's. He knows his stuff well and I think he'll be able to soon give us some insight into the handling-driving characteristics of the 4th gen. Max with the Stock spring/AGX set-up.
E-mail me if you want to discuss this further.
