The quick struts by Monroe, right? They're fully assembled, which makes it a pretty good deal. You just take the old strut/spring assembly out, and pop in the new one. Saves a lot of time, plus, it means you're getting new mounts and bearing too. Kragen has coupon for $15 off right now

the quick struts are monroe Sensa-trac shocks already assembled ready to install for about the same price as buying it all seperately. it just saves time.
Monroe's are not bad, they are just aimed at a different market than KYB

Those quickstruts are worth paying the extra money. You are less likely to have any issues with your installation.

Once the strut is out, whats so hard about compressing the spring and swapping it over to the existing strut?? General speaking it is only the struts and not the springs that go bad.

Yeah, it's not hard to do yourself. But you save time. And they make sure the spring is seated correctly. Plus having fresh new rubber mounts on top and bottom, decreasing chances of noise. It's a lazy-man's no-nonsense basic replacement. You save money doing the labor yourself, without using special 'compressor' tools, or skills. I consider it 1/2 way between full service and do-it-yourself.
