a/c not blowing from middle vents!

searched but couldnt find anything.

so heres the problem. my a/c blows nice and cold on 100 degree days but it only blows out of the side vents. the middle only trickles out. even when i close the 2 side vents no air comes out of any of them.

im thinking the dampers but no clue on how to get to them. Do I have to take out the whole dashboard?!

any other ideas would be appreciated. thanks

Run the A/C diagnostic test and see if one of the doors is stuck. The procedure is in the FSM or read thru that long A/C thread started by Matty.

I recently had the same problem, middle vents, which always have been the best in all of my cars were crap at best. I decided to take a quick look and popped out the center vent piece and looked behind it and saw a filter/screen that was dirty. I went with the quick and easy fix, i pulled it out and cleaned the inside of the vents and stuff and put it all back together sans filter and the vents blow nice and powerful. I figure my 3rd gens dont have the air cabin filter thing so why do i need it now, pssh...
