Tranny issue?????
ok, so for a long while i had the following problem on my 5 speed maxima:
When im at a light and on neutral i sometimes have troubles shifting into 1st.... I would have to go 2nd to 1st to let the gear click in so the car will move or if that does not work i would have to depress the clutch and do it all over again... Also, when for instance im rolling at 5 mph and in neutral, the car wont shift into 1st to save its own life... now my other car does it while i am rolling at 20 mph... It has happened more frequently now, and is driving me insane... Can someone tell me what the problem is? is that a sign of a tranny rebuild?

maybe its the clutch going, but i dont know
your trans is probably ok ... it may need new syncroz, but unless it's grinding .... it is probably ok.
You can try to rev match to pick up the mesh better. I have simmilar issues and it's not a big deal, I just live with it. I also get a little clutch shutter from time to time and that is nothing that bothers me. I have a new (~5k on this clutch) clutch in the car and I don't think your prob is the clutch, but maybe the slave / master. Check the rez, make sure it's topped off and you may need to bleed the clutch line.
