Clock section and vents, can't snap it in!

A while back I had some audio problems and had to remove my center stack, I started off by popping the clock section upward, however it detached from the bottom of the vents, now no matter what I do I can't quite seem to snap the vents back into place properly and they are pushed back and inset. Here are some pics:

Does anyone know of the proper way to get this section installed properly?

Those tabs that you can see on top of the vents appear like they belong beneath, but when I tried there the vents were still inset with no way to pull them forward, and it looked like the plastic was bent over those tabs.

Put it even with the radio bezel...and then push STRAIGHT back. Don't pop it in from the top, bottom, etc. Straight in.

The only other thing that could be is you broke some clip or something.

Same thing happened to me. Take out the vent/clock piece and get those tabs to snap in under the vent, and youll be good to go.

Awesome thanks guys, that did the trick. I pulled on it a put and the entire assembly came out, vents and everything, I just snapped the clips back in under the vents and pushed the whole assembly straight back and it looks as if it just rolled off the assembly line now.
