NGK platinums.
NGK spark plugs are the ONLY kind of plugs you are supposed to be using in a maxima.
If you dont want to spend the money for platinums or iridiums, get coppers - but still get NGK coppers.

for $2 per spark plug the NGK copper is a great deal. Every1 here will tell you use NGK copper for cheap plugs but change every 30k or double laser cut platinum's for $9-10 but they last 60k miles. i had the double cut platinum's and couldn't tell the difference. i just use the copper ones, less money and almost always in stock.
never used ngk iridium so cant say nothing about them

From years of expirience with many types of vehicles I'd say don't switch from the OEM brand. The cross charts aren't very good because each plug manufacturer makes their plugs differently. I tried Champions in a Honda bike. They were too cold, fouled badly. Tried NGK's in stead of Bosch in an air cooled VW, same problem. I let someone put Bosch plugs instead of Autolite in a Ford Aeorostar. Destroyed the motor. They ran too hot, warped the heads.

Exactly! I have noticed this from reading the forums of every car I have owned. Stick with the equivalent it was designed to run on. People on my VW forum when I owned my Golf talked about nasty problems on anything other than Bosch, same when I owned my Taurus, nothing but autolite, and same with the Maxima, nothing but NGK.

NGK in a nissan
Denso in Toyota
AC/Delco in GM
Motorcraft in Ford
Bosch in old german cars (new ones are NGK)
I actually have no clue what plugs are in my car right now, as I did not change them yet. when I do they will be NGKs.

One that comes to mind is LT1/LSx cars run much better on NGK TR55 plugs then OEM.

Same here, I am using the NGK coppers with the little v-slit in them because they were the cheapest thing and the only thing in stock. It is much cheaper, and plus I would rather change them at 30K or before and check things out anyway.

putting german plugs in jap cars is always bad. from experience I'd say NGk is the best for jap cars but denso is almost just as good. OEM is always best but if that is 2 expensive alteast stay in the same country. Don't buy American or german parts for jap cars and vise versa.
