Getting a 4th gen tomorrow, what to look out for?

Tomorrow I'll be purchasing one of a few 4th Gen SEs I've found around town. I was just wondering is there anything I should look out for specifically? I know that on 3rd Gen SE (VG30DE) the VTC Solenoids will make a ticking sound, so I'll be on the lookout for that, but is there anything else I should keep my eyes open for that is Maxima- Specific? All these cars have clean title histories, btw.

correction my friend, the VE engine 92-94 SE Maximas had the ticking VTCs, i know.. i had one, (see sig).
anyways,
What year 4th gens are you looking at?

1995 Maximas have problems with starters and premature O2 sensor failure. Watch out for that.

Manual transmission.

Don't buy an auto, no matter how hard you have to search for a 5spd...

i can attest to the starter and rear o2 sensor. i fixed the starter last week and replaced the o2 sensor at 58k miles. also, try to get a Max with wheels other than the stock steel ones with the cheap painted plastic hubcaps.

indeed , my conversion is gonna cost big bucks. and look out for the starter and O2 sensor like was said before. Usually if the car is over 50,000 miles , the starter is getting pretty bad, so ask if they have a new one. Other ways to check it , i dont really know , looking at it i guess. start it a few times and see if it kicks right over. make sure all the power windows go up and down with no problems or squeaks. Loose or rattling interior stuff. thats about all i can think of...oh , and make sure the jack and all that is in the trunk where it should be. my friend got a prelude from a guy , and the dude took the jack and all the stuff and didnt tell him... hes still driving around with no jack...

yeah, unfortunately i didn't check for that. i have the spare tire and jack, but no armature to crank the jack. of course, i just use a screwdriver now. (hmmm, i wonder if there's anything else i'm missing)
