Car wont start
I had similiar problem recently. I just changed my alternator and battery. But after a couple of hours, the car won't start. No lights or the lights are dim. I need a jumper. And then it runs fine. Is it possible something wrong with the starter?
Does it crank over? Have you put the battery on a load test? How about the starter? If it doesn't crank over, is there power supplying to the starter? If not, then you may have a bad relay going to starter or not enough juice from battery.
a couple days ago, my car won't start in the morning. So I went to autozone. It tested like battery is fine but weak. Then I replaced the battery. The first day I replaced the battery, I can start the car in the morning. And after that, it won't start after overnight or just a couple of hours. After a night, when I open the door, the light is not coming out, and when I turn around the key, no light come out. A jumper will make it start immediately. If I just leave it a couple of hours, the lights will be dim instead of off . Is it somewhere drain? Or something wrong with the alternator? I changed alternator in a month. Thanks!
Have a new battery and a starter
I have replace the starter and a new battery .when i hit the ingnition the lights on the dash is going on and the starter crank and it wont start.I have a automatic .
I have look in all threads and could not find anything about my car,When i use he starter is very heavy to turn around the flywheel and the battery is going dead. The starter is going very hot and smells burn when i usa it for 10-15 min.Could the lifters be bad ? or is the engine blown ?

What kind of battery are you using? If it's a lead acid with cells...remove the vent caps and measure volt of each cell with your Volt-ohm meter or take it to your local auto parts to test! If you think it's your starter remove it and check the rotational force needed to spin the shaft by hand, then secure it in a vise and apply 12 volts to it to see if it's dragging/rubbing or still overheating....
