Is the car doing anything else? Does it spudder or just cut out? Make any specific noise?

Did you check the battery? It probably isn't the problem but it's a start. I've seen batteries cause some weird stuff to happen. The battery will be fine and all of the sudden it's like it has no power. Then after it sits for a while it has a charge again then it just all keeps repeating. One of my friend's Sentra's did something similar to this and it was the battery. It just didn't make any sense.

do you have an aftermarket intake? My car is currently doing the same thing, does it like almost stall out when you're in a low gear, but stay at like 300 rpms even when you pump the gas afew times?
