Willing to Pay: Repair my DE-K swap please!

Ever since the first day I paid to have the swap done into my '98 max, I've had nothing but problems. I told the mechanic to do everything I learned from the DE-K swap forum, but still, I have many problems. Granted, yes, I do not have the IACV and the EGR(irrelevant anyway) installed in place, the engine is knocking and running like absolute junk. I've invested far too much into this, but now I'm searching for anyone willing to take a look at it or give me some helpful suggestions. I'd greatly appreciate it.

PM me for suggestions on what I should do.

You might want to list you location.

Do you have any codes? Whne you say "car runs like absolute junk" can you be more specific? Does it studder, stall, surge, have flat spots?

Brother if your engine is knocking, that's not really a good sign. Bad motor is a possibility. Don't give your hopes up though.

ok, so you don't have the IACV on and you are wondering why it is running like crap?

You could do all the research in the world, and still get a bad motor. Thats not the machanics fault. Bring it back to him and give him a second chance.

No, I'm not terribly concerned about a valve that bypasses once I'm out of idle. I'm concerned with the sputtering that I receive whenever I try to open the throttle. The car, if the throttle is slowly depressed, runs ok. If I try to give it wide open throttle, it hesitates then gets back up to RPMs constantly until I let off the gas. Then at idle(I am sure this doesn't concern the IACV), it revvs up to 1,400RPMs, then almost kills, gets back up to 1,400, then stays constant shortly. Soon after, it kills and needs to be restarted. Its relatively embarassing when your maxima is running nowhere near the way it should.

Are you using any type of engine management? vafc? safc? Is it tuned correctly? sounds like something my car did when my friend accidently put it to 3 in 1 out....Did you hook up the fuel rail clips correct? idk if that'd be a problem but firing at differnt points might be ?

You should read your own post very carefully again.
You just might figure out the idle problem.
Find another mechanic.
