Help!!! Car Dieing!!!

ok,,, I took off the stock air box...the ne behind the filter and replaced it with piece of tubing that goes straight into the TB... then i connected the two hoses that went into the box to a T bracket with a small blitz filter of the small end of the T... ran fine and the intake was extremely loud but when i got to a stop light I noticed the idel was up and down from 1100 to 600 then it just died...it started right back up but i don't know why it died...is the blitz filter not big enough? or is it causing a vacum?

and can somone give me a link to dons ecu troubleshoooting guide?

Clear the code and run it again...

i put the stock air box back on

and the dreaded check engin light went off...and has not come on since...

What is it that the two 5/8 tubes do that go to the original intake housing?...and why would that affect the MAF? beins it is befor the TB?
