Clearence light question!

Clearence light question!

When you apply the directional, aren't the lights supposed to illuminate even more?? The second fillament on my bulbs don't!

What year do you have, if your a 95-96 it should. On the other hand the 97-99 4th gens do not have this feature

Really? I have a 99! Why would the bulb be an 1157 then? It's dual fillament!

Cutting the nubb is for 95-96 people that rewire there clearance for "all the time on" parking lamps, like the 97-99 which you already have.

Actually it's for us too! I cut mine and reversed them and their twice as bright!.....Well my stock 1157's any way. I,m considering this for the polargs but I don't want to burn them out!

I think that circuit is rated for either 21 or 27 watts, I can't remember - so just make sure your bulb is in that range and you should be fine.

I rewired my clearance lights and put in PIAA 1157's about 3 months ago, they haven't burned out. You should be fine as long as they are 27w
