Rear wheel bearing or hub assembly?

Ok, so i'm pretty sure that my rear bearing is bad after searching the forums. My car makes a huge humming noise, like a loud road noise from tires. I've had the same tires before, and it didn't used to be like this. Also, it goes away when i turn to the left. I'm not sure if both of them are bad, but i'll prob just replace both anyways just to make sure. But i would like to save some money if i can. I'll see if i can pin point a side by seeing if there is play on the wheel while it is jacked up.

And before you flame me, i've searched and looked through the how to's, even went to autozone website, just not very clear on some things.

So it seems pretty easy since you just have to take off the 30 mm nut at the end. Now this is the question. Can you just buy the bearings without the hub assembly? I've also seen that you can buy the hub assembly without the bearings. So i'm guessing you can purchase the bearings without the hub assembly? If you can, should i just buy the hub anyways and save myself the trouble by going to a mechanic to having them pressed in?? I've been driving prob with a bad bearing for quite some time, so am i probably going to need a new hub anyways??? I'm guess the cheapest would be to contact Dave B for about 100 something??? I read some where that if i hadn't gotten my bearings changed fast, i can prob ruin the hub too.

Now if the noise goes away if i turn left, but stays when i turn right, is it possible to know which side is gone just from that??? i'm asking just in case i can't find play in the wheel.

Is there anything i need to replace while i'm at it?? like the abs plate? that i need to reuse?

according to autozone, 2nd pic, i need part #4 which is the wheel hub bearing...

I look it up online on a couple of stores, and it all says that its unavailable and that i need the other part it lists and that i need to order the bearing separately..

Im just all types of confused...

Thanks for all your help!!!

Rear hub and bearing only available as an assembled unit. No one offers the bearing separately. Just find the best price on the new hubs and get them. Easy install, by the way.

Couldnt find the hub on rockauto.com . I'm probably due for front and rears though. I wish the fronts were easy too.

As a general rule, you really can't tell until they are seperated.

For future referrence, i would jack up the rear end and support with jack stands, then use 2 hands to spin the wheels/tires. you should be able to hear a bad bearing roar, just by doing this. It won't be super loud, but you will hear what sounds like a bearing that has no grease.

I've seen older posts that indicate the front and rear bearing being the same. No one markets it as such but its possible
