Finally got Oem G35 exhaust

And i love it , wanted something quiet and not loud and obnoxious especially since this being the daily car

already have a weekend car that satisfy my needs (gt4276 mk4) anyways Max is basically 97 5speed, budget ypipe/test pipe/ + 05 oem g35 sedan exhaust

been wanting to try this out for yrs. and finally pulled the trigger, and boy am i glad, car def. sounds deeper and alot nicer, especially from 4000rpm - 6000ish rpm

opt for Stillen G35 rear muffler it's suppose to release the backpressure easier! The Oem should fit with minor adjustments @ the muffler shop!

What kind of modifications did it take to fit on there?

(I'm not familiar with how a G35 exhaust is set up, hence how it differs from a Maxima exhaust.)

wow im surprised such a big interest in this, alright i'll get up some pics, and i'll try and make a short clip and hopefully someone on the forums can help me host it, i fail at computers...

anyways little background im real picky w/ car parts and i dont like spending money on useless parts that i regret doing, i put alot of consideration into these few parts hoping that it would work the way i had planned it to and it has, it actually has made me want to take it out even more

when u first turn the key u can instantly hear a deeper exhaust note, i had a buddy i met yesterday and he asked "you got an exhaust" once i started the max. its not loud like when u start a car w/ a full catback but enough that u can def. hear its a deeper v6 under there, you can hear a diff. when you rev the car and when you start to get on it throughout the entire rpm range, but 4000+ is def. the sweet spot

no matter what it wont sound exactly like a G35 like other members have stated both cars have different motors and exhaust configurations and that wasn't the point of me doing this mod, it was just a curiosity factor, and i wanted that extra ummmph and my Oem muffler was rusting up real bad, figure why spend money on another 4th Gen muffler when i can pickup another Oem muffler off a G35, and im so ****n happy i made this choice

now to get back on topic, notice in this pic, the Gs exhaust piping cuts to an extreme right and our is exactly opposite, so i bought it to a muffler shop, had them cut off the entire back end piping and had a custom piece of pipe welded and bent to mate onto the original location of the oem muffler, i then wanted the G exhaust to sit up high as possible but also w/o having to sacrifice the removal of exhaust heat shield, hopefully it clears up tom. and i'll post up pics

Doesn't sound all that bad, but the video probably doesn't do it any justice at all. GET A BETTER VIDEO! (I know he's not the OP)
