i think that maybe using something like a dark stripe behind the leds would make it look better

yeah...
It's kinda hard doing it that kind of style, just because the headlights are not made to have LEDs in them. For now I'm satisfied with what I have, just have to seal them up now. I'll think of more style when I finish my other projects.

finished.

Well I have everything back together now.
And the car is running, except for the PWM that installed does not control the brightness of the LED to my likings. I still have to figure out what I did wrong in those area, but besides that The LEDs are lit, but kind of dim.

Here are some pictures.

Unique. Not sure I like the overall look, but I can definitely appreciate the thought/work that went into it.

Please keep us up to date on your other projects, as well.

I had the PWM working as it should when I had it off of my car, but after I put everything back together, it didn't work.

Didn't work means that it does not dim or brighten up.
I bought the PWM from some internet site, I think the site sales mainly hobby stuff, like model electric trains.

Maybe your car next, but get some back up headlights first.

Those headlights look good.. I think it would look better if they were a bit closer together more like the AUDI. But thats my Opinion good work still..

Not a big fan of those blue LEDs on that Z.

So I finally got the PWM to work how I wanted it to.
For some reason the switch I wired it up to only put out weird voltage, making the PWM not dimmable. <- Yes I just made that word.
Well all in all it works.
I was going to do a photo shoot today, but forgot to grab my memory stick and put it in my camera before I left.. what a waste.
The photo shoot pictures will be in the members ride section.

Real nice. but what about changing the color bulbs for your clearance lights. the yellow kinda throws it off in my opinion. But real nice job mad

The clearance lights?? are you talking about the front turn signals?
The turn signals are my stock ones, cause I'm painting the clear ones I had with night shade.

Well I'm done night shading them, I just have to recook them in the oven to seal them up before I put it back on my car.

humm looks pretty good but i think you guys might like my setup better.. if you have the cefiros that is.. i think having the leds up to would give it a little more style than just a strait line..

to parking/clearance lights is my opinion.

I've been thinking of doing this since I saw them on the audi's. Nice work man what kind of support 'bar' have you rigged up to mount the LED's in line?

lets see your setup.
on top of that, cefiros does not line up flush with 4th gen maxima fender.
Also, some people have suggested to do it to the ebay r34 style headlights, which lines up with our fender.

true that but i did the cefiro swap almost 2 years ago lol.. so yes you're correct the r34 would pretty much be the same.. although if you do the retro the leds might not fit.. there is more room in the cefiros than the r34..

im waiting for it to get dark so i can take pictures, sorry..

i do like what you have done though.. it looks very clean and having the leds in both headlight and corners is perfect..

i don't mean to jack your thread or anything. im just showing people there are other ideas out there..

Is it just me or is the LEDs not really aligned to the contours of the inside of the housing?
Like the corners?

I have mine wired to a PWM, so I can dim them when ever I want to. Also that PWM is hooked up to a switch so I can turn them on and off.

Also please don't tell me you have red underglow....

Yeah, it seems like you're into that stuff...with all your PWM talk. haha sorry, we've been doing LED products at work lately and you sound like the EE's I work with. That's all.

Your sis told me you're going for CE right?

ha no i dont its just in the grill.. its hooked up to another switch..

question.. do you think it would look better if the led were in the turning and side marker lights.. im making a clear one piece part to fit in there but i was thinking that led in there might look better.. some what like the Audi A8?
