i have a 99 and it had the plastic lenses, i found that they would dull, show wear and had to shine them up, didn't care for them. 6 months later i had an accident and they were replaced with 95's and now they seem to shine brighter, because of the glass refraction, no more dulling and now i put rain-x on them and really don't have to worry about dirt and grime build up on the lenses wheres i did that to the 95's and Rainx didn't seem to work as well. Maybe it's just me, that's my 2 cents............

there is a how to shine the headlights for the 97-99 headlights.

There is a lot of work, but I do like the clearness of the 97-99. But that is just my opinion.

Stock for stock the 97-99 have the better pattern. The multi reflectors in the 97-99 aim the light far better than the prism glass 95-96. I have had both on the car at the same time. The older style is more of a pencil shaped beam. The new style spreads light far better.

The best replacement is the OEM Cefiro lights with the H4. They have a far superior design. 9004's suck.

Aftermarket lights are crap, they are made to look like stock but perform far worse. The aftermarket Cefiro are horrible with lots of glare.

what?

you had a 99 with the plastic lens and got in an accident..
you replaced them with the 95's and they seem to shine brighter because of the glass and you put rainx on them and you didn't have to worry 'bout them no more..
but at the end you are stated that you did that to your 95's and rain x didn't seem to work..

I'm confused..
