hey i just got my max not to long ago from another .org member the car has a 00vi on it and has to be given gas on the first start of the day to keep running but today on my way to school when i was shifting and put the clutch in the rpms fell all the way to 500 but then bounced back up to just below regular idle, today has been colder then the past few weeks and i'm afraid once it gets cold out this may become a serious issue can anyone help me out?

You probably need to adjust the IACV screw a bit. What is the idle like when at a stop?

Also you arent suppose to let the rpms drop to 500 when shifting...

i meant to say it goes to 500 while the clutch is in sorry but ill try adjusting the IACV screw thanks

probably something with the idle air control valve, which one are you using with the 00vi?

pretty sure its got the 4th gen IACV
