brake fluid issues

My brake fluid reservoir keeps draining itself every 2 weeks, obviously I got leaking issues but I can't find any leak spots and I checked the reservoir itself and it isn't leaking, is my brake fluid evaporating?! What else should I be looking for?

What type of brake fluid do you guys use?

you have to find the leak, you need an extra set of hands (feet actually). have someone press the brake pedal while u check under the car for squirting brake fluid, most likely near a caliper. check all lines, if u cant find it then....

will do, hopefully it's just a seal. I'm taking it in for an alignment today if i'm lucky the mechanic will point out where it's coming from so I can fix it myself.

DOT 3 or DOT 4 ... both are ok / good.

As for your leak, it's more than likely a caliper issue, but ... you need to find it. If you let the rez run dry, you'll need to bleed the system.

i had the same issue with the piston seal on my back caliper.. it was a cheap and easy fix. just make sure you fill it back up with the right spec. fluid, or else your seals will done.

If you dont find any leak at the calipers then unbolt the master from the booster and see if there is fluid there. if so then your master is leaking.
you will not see the fluid until you seperate the master from the booster.if thats it then clean out the booster the best you can befor you put the new master on.
hope this helps

I was gonna mention the booster, but that is not so prone to fail like our rear calipers. If it turns out to be the booster, make sure the vacum lines are hooked up and no holes. (upon replacing)

actually I was refering to the back side of the master, where the rod pushes the piston. I have seen many master cyls leak there and its almost undetectable until you seperate the master from the booster. I wasnt suggesting that the booster itself was bad.
hope that makes since..I am exuasted!
