car starting problem
car starting problem
i have a 95 maxima auto trans. and im having a problem with the car starting in the morning. it only seems to do this when i havent drove the car for a little while and for the rest of the day after getting it to start and driving it around for a bit, it starts fine the next time i turn it on
.. well i try to start the engine and it struggles to start like the battery dying.. then after a few trys the engine starts.. i usually press the gas pedal to start it.. and sometimes when i get it to start and dont rev it up a little, it just turns off on me. HELP!

When's the last time you changed the battery? Get it tested at Autozone to see if its still good. If the battery is ok it can be something else like an ignition switch or inhibitor relay.
checked the battery and it came out good..
people have been telling to changed the whole starter and maybe even the solenoid.. im not sure what to do since im kinda on a budget right now.. another friend of mine has been telling me that tune up would fix the problem.. but im not sure though

If it's cranking slow then it's probabl the starter.
If it's cranking good, but just stumbling to start you can start by cleaning the throttle body. If that doesn't help check the resistance of the coolant temp sensor while the engine is cold. Make sure it's within specs.
