For those who have replaced steering wheel!!

i replaced a steering wheel on a 98 max with one from a 96 but now that ive bolted everthing up there is this loud squeaking noise as the wheel turns and its also hard to turn...has anyone had this problem ive looked at everything and cant seem to find whats wrong.

95-96 steering wheels are not direct replacements for the 97-99s....different specs
