car shakes a bit...

Im sure i might get flamed or attacked in like...i give it 3 minutes, but (and this is not in refrence to my last problem that dealt with shaking )

but seriously... i started noticing this today. On hard acceleration in traffic today getting in front of the old farts that like to drive 15mph under the limit... at about 4.5 or 5 K rpms to about 5.5 or 6k the car shook a little bit not too violently. what might be the cause of this?

CEL?

Certain it was RPM related and not just the speed or hard acceleration?

Could very well be a misfire.

Ive got the same problem, some people told me that it was my motor mounts but I'm really not sure.

does the car jump or jolt when changing it from rev to drive if so it probably is the motor mounts.

the engine shakes a little bit from park to reverse but once in drive its fine...ill have my brother put in reverse and hold the brakes after i get out of work today so i can get a better idea... if it is a motor mount it would only be one..

Is it the whole car that is shaking or an isolated portion of it?

The steering wheel on my 626 used to shake under conditions like you described and I found that one of my wheels had thrown a weight-thereby causing it to become unbalanced.

could be an axle or maybe LCA bushings for a shake under hard acceleration.
